The Future of Online Communities:

Clareifi Media's Website Launch

This week celebrates one of many first for Clareifi Media. Not only are we launching an updated Clareifi Media website, but I've also got some new things getting started in the web3 space. The Clareifi Media DAO has officially launched on daodao.io.

Oftentimes the “crypto curious” are deterred by perceived, or sometimes actual scams. Learning about web3 doesn’t have to hurt financially, or mentally. There are plenty of ways to learn about opportunities and innovation in the web3 space, which are already blending themselves into corners of our online world. One of the goals of Clareifi Media is to empower creators to easily onboard and explore the new opportunities that are becoming available to transition into the “ownership economy”.

What is the Clareifi Media DAO?

The Clareifi Media DAO is a learning & community building DAO on a mission to onboard like-minded creatives who are working to grow their business online to web3 stacks, DAO’s and other “on-chain” methods of funding their creative work. Moving past the hustle mentality to building a sustainable media business, and earn a livable wage.

Our mission is to collaborate with and support a community of like-minded humans who are interested in growing a creative business online while blending advocacy & multimedia in the web3 creator economy.

Background/Context

The barriers to entry for many content creators / freelancers are low, but the competition is high. It can be difficult to find work and earn a consistent income. And even when you do find work, it may not pay very well.

The web3 creator economy or – ownership economy is presenting new ways of funding creative work that can help address some of these challenges.

Together, we will explore opportunities for creatives in the 🕸💎💎💎 (web3) space:

• Collaborate on funding initiatives 💰
• Allocate creative grants to members 💸
• Decide on the best path forward for the Clareifi Media DAO and its members 📈

The goal is to build a system that would allow content creators to focus on doing their best work, and focus on building audiences by finding their content tilt and meeting the audience's desires. With Web3, creators can forego or lessen their reliance on traditional social media platforms to build a better community using social tokens, NFTs, and DAOs. We’ll learn how to do this together.

The Clareifi Media Newsletter will be a place where I'll be sharing all the latest work and thoughts from myself, and the community on – the ownership economy for creators. The Clareifi Media Newsletter

Going down the rabbit hole of web3 has been a game-changer for me, as it's allowed me to think differently about ways to grow an audience and build a community around meaningful work.

I'm excited about the opportunity to reboot Clareifi Media because I believe there is so much potential for innovation in the way creators blend their art forms with technology. This newsletter will in part document my journey in discovering how to grow a creative business online while blending advocacy & multimedia in the web3 creator economy.

I believe that DAO's represent the future of online communities.

In an age where social media platforms are constantly changing, and algorithm updates can make or break your online presence, DAO's – Decentralized Autonomous Organizations offer a sustainable way for creators to connect with their audiences through community incentives (tokenomics) – by allowing them to invest in and support the creators they love, or projects that they find valuable and would like to contribute to either financially, or through shared governance, collaboration, and decision-making.

As a creator, I'm excited about innovations in the web3 space because it aligns with my values around building an audience and community of like-minded individuals that is directly invested in my work.

Some long-term goals I have for Clareifi Media are:

• To build an engaged community of like-minded creators who want to learn more about building a sustainable creative business online and are interested in learning how to do that using the latest in web3 tech stacks, decentralization, and DAO's.
• To be a thought leader in the creator economy space – sharing my insights, observations, and learnings with an engaged and growing community.
• To create a space for open dialogue and collaboration around the challenges and opportunities of building a creative business online.
• And finally, to have some fun and experiment with new ideas! After all, that's what being a creator is all about :)
