What is the value of your words?
My dad was a writer, I'm just a guy who puts too many words on the internet.
There's a market for content, and the reward is the instant gratification of a few cents per word. Wouldn't you rather create something of value?
How will you be remembered as a writer?
Do you consider yourself to be a creator?
Are you creating something unique and valuable?
Something that will stand the test of time?
Your words can have a serious impact, they can inspire change and motivate people to action. They can bring comfort in times of distress, or show someone an entirely different perspective on life.
The value of your words lies in their ability to move people through storytelling.
Telling stories the way my dad once did.
That's my goal. It seems the only way to get there is to keep practicing. Continue putting out content and experimenting while trying to find my voice.
A voice that will have an impact, leave a lasting impression and be remembered.
That's the value of your words. No matter who you are or what field you're in, strive for creating something of real value with your writing. Create something that moves people through the story and make sure it gets heard.
That's where true value lies.
