Writing What I Want Them To Remember
I’ve been trying to get this right for a long time, and I’m not saying that I finally have, but things are getting a little more manageable every day.

My go-to procrastination routine usually involves obsessing over tech stacks, writing platforms, and going back and forth on where and how to publish. Honing in on a niche, figuring out what I want to say and who I intend to say it to. Overthinking and procrastinating instead of sitting down to write.
But not lately. Nope, lately, I’ve been able to find inspiration for stories in different ways. A picture I took while on a forest walk with my family. A thought that pops into my head while I’m out walking my dog. Come to think of it, most of the ideas I’ve had lately come from walking.
Walking and thinking… đź’
I’ve been trying to write everything down. I use the Drafts app on my phone to take notes or dictate ideas as they come to me.
I just want to keep telling stories.
I write to honor my Dad’s forgotten memories and to remind myself to do all the things I want to do while making lasting memories with my children.
And if I start to forget…
I’m writing what I want them to remember.
The rest will be up to them.
